Radio Transglobal

2002 trafen sich drei Redakteure des Hamburger Stadtsenders Tide 96.0 mit der Idee ein neues, interkulturelles Radioformat zu kreieren:

Radio Transglobal, unterwegs in Hamburg und der Welt mit unterschiedlichen Schwerpunkten und Themen auf der Suche nach Neuigkeiten, Unentdecktem, Wissenswertem und Worldwide Music.

Die drei Initiatoren waren Mücke Quinckhardt, Jürgen Küssow und Petra Sorge. Drei Formate entstanden, für das jeder eigenverantwortlich arbeitete:

1) Crossculture@Transglobal: andere Länder, ungewohnte Mentalitäten, neue Perspektiven auf uns und andere.

2) Focus@Transglobal: auf ungewöhnlichen Musikalischen Spuren quer durch Kontinente und Kulturen.

3) Books@Transglobal: eine Literarische Rundreise zu Autoren aus aller Welt und ihren Neuerscheinungen auf dem deutschen Buchmarkt sowie Tipps zu Literaturveranstaltungen in Hamburg

Im Jahr 2006 zerfiel die ursprüngliche Redaktion. Mücke nahm einen Posten als Leiterin der Musikschule auf der Insel Sansibar an, nach ihrer Rückkehr ist sie als Kulturmanagerin Vorsitzende des Jazzbüro Hamburg. Petra widmete sich fortan ihrem Programm „Triangula“, führte ihr eigenes Format als „Transglobal“ weiter und wand sich außerdem TideTV zu. Jürgen führte sein erfolgreiches Format als separate Sendung Books@Transglobal weiter und die bereits bei Tide 96.0 erfolgreichen Radiosendungen Brasil 40°! und Phat&Fresh kamen hinzu. Seitdem firmieren diese drei Sendungen unter einem Dach als „Radio Transglobal“ bei Tide 96.0 unter der Leitung von Jürgen Küssow und Anil Classen. Die drei Radiosendungen sind mit 5 Sternen ausgezeichnet, die höchste Auszeichnung bei Tide 96.0!

Radio Transglobal

In 2002 three editors of Hamburg's radio station Tide 96.0 met with the idea to create a new, cross-cultural radio format:

Radio Transglobal, en route in Hamburg and the world with varying focuses and topics in search of news, the undiscovered, the worth knowing and Worldwide Music.

The three initiators were Mücke Quinckhardt, Jürgen Küssow and Petra Sorge. Three cooperating programs emerged, each initiator assumed the role of editor in chief for one of them.

1) CrossCulture@Transglobal: other countries, unfamiliar mentalities, new perspectives on ourselves and others.

2) Focus@Transglobal: on unusual musical tracks across continents and cultures.

3) Books@Transglobal: a literary tour to authors from around the world and their new publications in the German book market as well as tips on literary events in Hamburg.

In 2006 the original editorial separated. Mücke took up a post as head of the music school on the island of Zanzibar, on her return she works as cultural manager and is chairman of Jazzbüro Hamburg. Petra devoted herself to her original feminist radio show "Radio Triangula", continued also her format for which she signed responsible under the name "Transglobal" and turned eventually towards TideTV. Jürgen continued his format as an independent show successfully known as Books@Transglobal. Two other renowned shows at Tide 96.0 radio joined the new format "Radio Transglobal": Brasil 40°! and Phat&Fresh . Since then these three radio shows operate under one roof as "Radio Transglobal" at Tide 96.0, with the editors in chief Jürgen Küssow and Anil Classen. The three shows are rated 5 stars at Tide 96.0 radio, the highest award that can be bestowed.
